ABOUT Lizzy Barrios

Lizzy Barrios, an accomplished Mezzo Soprano has been singing and teaching for many years. With a Bachelor of Music, a Master's in the Art of Teaching from Trinity University, and an EC-12 Music Texas Teaching Certification, Lizzy taught elementary and middle school music in Texas for 13 years. Within those years, Lizzy went back to school to receive her second Master's degree in Music with a focus on Vocal Chamber Music from the University of Redlands under the direction of former King Singer, Christopher Gabbitas.
Lizzy currently sings with Houston Masterworks Chorus and is serving as a Board Member, Section Leader, and a Committee Chair. She has previously performed with the Houston Symphony Chorus as well as Houston Camerata, UH Choral Artists, Beth Israel Congregation Chorus, and as a featured singer for Bethany Christian Church. Lizzy has also performed with stars such as Catherine Jenkins, Andrea Bocelli, and most recently Josh Groban at the Greek in Los Angeles.
As well as choral music, Lizzy has been singing with bands throughout the years. From guest spots with the Ed Maly Band to singing lead vocals in the up and coming Fleetwood Mac Tribute Act - Seven Wonders.
